We rescued Chewy. I foster toy breed dogs. I went to a shelter to get a very senior Pomeranian, who was dropped off at a New York Shelter on a freezing night in the negatives! She had been a whelping bitch her entire life. Never spayed and riddled with breast cancer. When I arrived at the shelter the Shelter manager asked me to foster another dog that they had received the prior week. He was dropped off by a breeder and they actually told the manager that "This dog is of no value to me in this condition." What we have come to understand was that whomever bred this beautiful chocolate boy, was that they just didn't have the money to "fix" him. It appears from the x-ray that Chewy's left front leg was fractured & his shoulder was dislocated. This happened very young. Probably after birth by either being stepped on or injured during the birthing process.
